Sadly, after the last concert for the season on 19 June,2008 the Lunch Time Concerts will be rested indefinitely. 

After eight terrific years of these concerts, His Majesty’s Theatre will now be concentrating on its other Community Service Programmes including Morning Melodies, Cabaret Soirée and the Brainbox Project.

“We believe that this is an appropriate cut off time which will enable us to concentrate our efforts on our other popular Community Service Programmes”, says Rodney Phillips, General Manager of the Theatre.

“We recommend the Monthly Morning Melodies Series as the closest similar programme for those who can fit this into their schedules.  The management of His Majesty’s Theatre acknowledges and thanks His Majesty’s Theatre Foundation for their ongoing sponsorship of our Community Service Programmes.”

If actors are said to be ‘resting’, Lunchtime Concerts are doing something similar. They will be reviewed next year and, who knows, they may tread the boards of the Dress Circle Bar again.
