It is our vision that all Western Australians have access to the arts and cultural infrastructure.
“All Western Australians” means also enhancing the quality of life for people in regional and rural communities, in partnership with the WA State Library Foundation, Country Arts WA and other stakeholders.
Through our efforts we are:
• Increasing the capacity of WA organisations who hire artists and the capacity of WA artists to effectively engage community audiences;
• Clarifying the purpose and connections among the Foundation’s regional artists’ programs, to create a continuum of funding and opportunities, that serve the Foundation’s overall priority of connecting artists and communities;
• Facilitating exchange among, and between WA artists and arts organisations, to strengthen collaboration, for increased visibility and efficient allocation of resources;
• Encouraging WA artists and organisations to challenge the expectations of WA performing arts audiences, through new contemporary work and innovative means of increasing engagement with artists; and
• Facilitating staff training and identify opportunities for field development across all programs, for documentation, evaluation, and case studies, that demonstrate the artistic and social impact of WA’s creative economy.
